How does a local load & unload look like with Moving Muscle?

  1. Helpers will arrive in personal vehicles to your starting location to load your rental vehicle
  2. You will drive the rental truck to the unload location, and your helpers will follow behind you
  3. Helpers will unload the truck to your satisfaction!

Can I extend my reservation time with my movers?

Movers are happy to extend the time! However, we can't guarantee it in advance because other moves might reserve the time slot immediately after yours or there might be other obligations. This is why we recommend reserving enough time in advance. If you find you have extra time, you can always give the helpers additional tasks during that slot, such as rearranging items or assisting with minor cleanup.

What if I need to change or cancel my moving date?

Do I need to be present on the moving day?

It's best if you're around, so we can make sure everything goes according to your wishes. Plus, there might be questions or decisions only you can answer. But if you can't be there the entire time, just make sure someone you trust is there to guide us.

Preparation and Packing

Can I make multiple stops during my move, like dropping some items off at a storage unit?

Our movers will follow in their personal vehicles to all locations provided in the order, just make sure you reserve enough time to include travel in your booking!

Can I pack my clothes in drawers or should they be boxed?

While you can leave clothes in drawers, it might make the furniture heavier. For easier and safer moving, it's recommended to pack clothes in boxes or wardrobe containers.

How do I prepare my appliances for moving day?

Ensure appliances are unplugged, clean, and dry. For items like washing machines, make sure they're drained and hoses are detached.

How do you handle moves during bad weather?

How should I prepare for moving day?

  1. Make sure all small/medium sized items are boxed and ready to move. (Stage all items with easy access if possible).
  2. Disassemble all bed sets that will not fit through doorway (this saves you time & money) to ensure the movers are able to load the truck much quicker.
  3. Make sure you provide at least 1-2 hours grace period for getting your rental truck. This ensures that you are back and ready so the movers can start right on time!
  4. Sit back and relax knowing Moving Muscle will take care of all the back breaking work, loading/unloading for you!

Do I need to pack my things, or will you do that?

We provide solely the "muscle" to handle all the heavy lifting, loading, unloading and rearranging! The movers are happy to use any blankets & shrink wrap you have provided with the rental truck to wrap your furniture.

Services and Policies

Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of?

We pride ourselves on transparent pricing. All our rates can be viewed at our booking page. No hidden fees or tricky surprises!

Is there a minimum charge for your moving services?

Yes, our minimum charge is for 2 movers for 2 hours.

Do you only do moving labor?

Currently yes, we only provide all labor based services. Loading, unloading, in-home rearrange movers, event setup labor, office labor etc... If you need strong professionals that specialize in heavy lifting and careful handling, then we can help!

Does Moving Muscle provide the moving truck?

Moving Muscle does not provide the moving vehicle. We are simply a moving labor company supplying you with all the muscle needed for your self-move!

Do you assemble and/or disassemble?

Basic assembly and disassembly are possible, but the movers do not provide tools. We recommend handling (dis)assembly before the movers arrive to save both time and money. In the standard labor package, movers will supply the muscle power required to load, unload, rearrange, and handle all heavy lifting. They are also happy to cover and wrap items with blankets and shrink wrap you provide as well.

What equipment do the movers provide?

Our movers come prepared with dollies/straps to help with the heavy lifting, loading, and unloading. We do not provide any blankets, wrap, or ratchet straps.

Are the movers allowed to drive the truck?

We focus on providing top-notch labor for loading and unloading. The helpers are never allowed to drive your rental vehicle.

What payment methods do you accept?

For booking services, we only accept card payments online through our secure platform. This ensures a smooth, contactless transaction process and allows us to confirm your reservation instantly.

Do I need to provide moving supplies, or do you bring them?

Is Moving Muscle insured? What happens if something gets broken?

All movers are fully vetted & trained to handle your belongings with the utmost care, check out our reviews online! We recommend obtaining insurance with your rental truck provider or container to protect your items during transit.

How do you ensure my items don't get damaged?

We train our movers thoroughly to handle your belongings with the utmost care. If you provide blankets and shrink wrap with your rental truck, our team will skillfully use them to wrap and secure your furniture. Our goal is to get your items to their new home safe and sound. And remember, we're the muscle – we're all about strength with care!

Are there items that Moving Muscle won't move?

Movers will not move any special item handling such as: pianos, large safes, pool tables, major antiques. Any items 300+ lbs requires 4 movers to ensure safe transport.
